Karl Jaeckel

Karl Jaeckel is the archivist for both the IAGSDC and the Rocky Mountain Rainbeaus. He lives in Denver, CO, and maintains a substantial archive of ephemeral materials relating to the IAGSDC.

Karl was instrumental in the formation of two gay square dance clubs, Mile High Squares and the Rocky Mountain Rainbeaus, and the IAGSDC.

He attended the 1983 meeting in Miami at which the IAGSDC was founded. He was a founding member and first instructor for the Rocky Mountain Rainbeaus.

He served as Vice President on the IAGSDC Board of 1989-1990.

In 1990, Freeman Stamper presented Karl with the Golden Boot Award. In 1991, Karl presented the award to Harlan Kerr.
