DUCLOS — Christopher D., born December 25, 1952 passed away peacefully at St. Paul's Hospital, July 29, 1994, at age 41. Survived by his loving companion Judy Gilmore; parents Mary and Duncan Duclos of Hudson, PQ.; sister Lorraine, Vancouver; brothers Victor, Montreal and Brian, Calgary. He is sadly missed by nephews Ryan and nieces Samantha and Amanda; his extended family, relatives and many friends. A memorial service will be held at St. Paul's Anglican Church, 1130 Jervis Street at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 3. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established in Christopher's name at St. Paul's Hospital, 1081 Burrard, Vancouver, B.C. V6Z 1Y6.

December 25, 1952 - July 29, 1994

Chris will be remembered for his incredible sense of humour, the way he had of smiling that wrapped itself around you and lifted yourr spirits. You could always count on him to take the time to listen and to offer sincere advice with a little black humour thrown in. He loved to dance and was as smooth on the dance floor as he was in life. He was an ardent member of Squares Across the Border. His professional life revolved around art and culture. Chris was employed at the Vancouver Art Gallery. His dedication to AIDS work was tireless. He was a core member of the team that brought the Quilt to Vancouver in 1989 and accompanied the Canadian Quilt to Washington, DC. He served on the board of the Canadian AIDS Society. Chris offered his creativity and vision as the Fundraising Chair on the board of the Vancouver PWA Society. He will be missed by his community. Celebration of life at Denman Station, Sunday, August 28th 3:00 - 6:00.[2]
