From the Program Book of the 4th IAGSDC Convention, held in Portland, OR in 1987:
The members of Doppler Dancers began teaching themselves Advanced in the fall of 1984, using the same method as Emerald City Squares had before them: sitting on the floor trying to figure out calls. We figured out enough calls to graduated our first class in time for New Year's Eve, and have graduated three classes since. Doppler Dancers has a unique badge: in its pure form (without dangles) it gives neither the name of the club nor of the individual wearing it Anyone with a red-and-white triangle pinned to his or her bosom is a Doppler Dancer, If you want to know.a Doppler Dancer's name, just ask!
