From the Program Book of the 4th IAGSDC Convention, held in Portland, OR in 1987:
Jim Hattrick started square dancing in 1958 at the age of 12. Soon after, he began calling for a teen group called the Teen Twirlers in Aberdeen, Washington. He has called for 28 years-the last 18 as a professional caller.
In 1976, he and his wife, Linda, took a goodwill square dance tour to Costa Rica, Panama, and Guatemala. The group consisted of 12 couples who performed square and round dances.
His latest recording called Tag Along is on the Chinook Record label. Mr. Hattrick presently teaches and call for five clubs ranging in level from Basic through A2, and is a member of Callerlab and the North Willamette Caller and Cuers Association.
