Obituary

Barry W. Schiller, 53, of Dania, an art teacher at the American Heritage School in Plantation, died at home Nov. 1 of natural causes. He was previously an art editor for McGraw-Hill Publishing Co., and a 20-year art teacher at Herricks High School, both in New York City. Born in Hartford, Conn., he was a graduate of Classical High School in Springfield, Mass. He received a bachelor of arts degree from the Boston College of Art, and his master's from Columbia University. He leaves a sister, Dorothy Cotton of Chicopee, and nieces and nephews in Massachusetts. The funeral was Monday at Levitt-Weinstein Memorial Chapels in Hollywood. Memorial contributions may be made to the Congregation Etz Chaim, in care of Keating Associates Inc., 780 North East 82nd Terrace, Miami, Fla., 33138.[1]

Recollections

Barry Schiller, Times Squares class of 1988, died at his home in Dania, Florida on November 2, 1995. He had been battling lung cancer and an aggravated heart condition over the last few years. Barry was an enthusiastic club member and for a while served as club historian. After Barry moved to Florida, he danced for a time with the Florida Mustangs.
