Obituary

She was born in Belfry, Montana on March 2, 1925. Dorothy graduated from Lincoln High School, Seattle, and attended the University of Washington. She was married to Wilbur Joseph “Bet” Abbott on January 31, 1945. They were married 58 years.

Dorothy worked in sales at Lerner’s (Northgate) but was a life-long seamstress and clothing alterations specialist. She was a member of Children’s Hospital Volunteers and Boyer Children’s Clinic and had a passion for square dancing (50+ years) and line dancing, swimming, opera and live stage performance (plays).

She was survived by nephews Steven Abbott, Lyle Hallman and Dan Hallman. Also, one niece, Teresa Stacks (Loyd).

A private graveside service was held on April 19, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Tahoma National Cemetery.
