Obituary

Glenn Edward (Ed) Doughten passed away on Sept. 5th 2019 at Desert Regional Medical center of heart failure. He was born to Otis C. Doughten and Helen A. (Klarenbach) Doughten on December 2, 1940 in Salida Colorado.

He worked in computer programming and repair in San Francisco (where he met his partner Wally Sieg) and then for the Oakland school district until his retirement. They moved to Palm Desert in 1996 and made it their home for the next 23 years. He was a wonderful brother, uncle and cherished friend to many. He belonged to many clubs as well as doing volunteer work for hospice. He was well known for his fabulous Halloween parties and his hospitality. He is survived by his partner of 50 years Wally Sieg, sisters Peggy (Charles) Scarano, Kathy Hall, friend Will Amaral and many nieces, nephews and cousins as well as many loving friends and neighbors. We are all blessed to have known him and will miss him deeply.[1]
