We are sad to report that Galen Oellig, a member of the 2009 Violet Tendencies class and the 2013 Dandy Lion class (where he learned the other tole), passed away recently at his home in West PLains, Missouri. Galen was a long-time Advanced dancer with the club and will be missed. He moved to Missouri a few years ago to help care for his mother on their farm. Galen was 60 yers old and died from a sudden heart attack. Many Rainbeaus attended his memorial service (via Zoom) on Saturday, April 12th. Glen Barrows is planning on having another memorial later in Denver.[1]
I didn't know him well, but I considered him a friend. He enjoyed outdoor activities and went on a few of Chuck Tadlock's full-moon hikes.
