Obituary

HERBERT MICHAEL POWER
Herbie, as he was affectionately called by his family and friends, was born on December 14, 1956 in Hillside, Illinois and passed away in his home in Phoenix, Arizona.

Herbie is survived by his Companion, Crispino Ramos; his parents, Herbert A. and Kathleen E. Power; his sisters, Mary Ellen Hayes, Jeanie Eisele, and Barbara Wifler; his brothers-in-law, Rodney Hayes, Greg Eisele, and John Wifler; his nephews, Matt Hayes and Ryan Eiselel and his nieces, Ellen Hayes and Julie Eisele.

Herbie was a graduate of Southern Illinois University (Carbondale, Illinois). He worked as a Peace Corps Volunteer in South American the 1970's. After the Peace Corps, Herbie moved to Phoenix where he worked for Catholic Social Services in the Refugee Resettlement Program for 14 years. He will be missed and will live forever in our hearts.

Visitation will be at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary, 200 W Beardsley, at Central and Beardsley Road, from 5:30pm=8:30om on Wednesday, January 5, 2000. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church on Thursday at 10:00am. Graveside services will be held after the Mass at Phoenix Memorial PArk. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Catholic Social Services-HIV Services, 1825 W Northern, Phoenix, Arizona 85021.[1]
