You’ll see that in one of the photos of Jim Carlton he is holding a bag with something white. That’s snow! Having grown up in Miami, he had never in his life seen snow, so when he was here for the square dance convention in 1985 (Memorial Day weekend), he made a special trip to the mountains to see snow, and he brought a bag of it back to the hotel. It was a big deal for him, so I snapped that picture. FYI, he generally went by Jimmy.
