Biography

Joe has been calling for 13 years. he is currently the club caller for two clubs near his home in Beachwood, N.J. He also calls for other clubs, festivals and weekends throughout the tri-state area, and teaches classes through Advanced. Joe is a member of the Callers Council of N.J. and of Callerlab. He is currently recording for Cobra Records, of which he is co-owner.[1]

Joseph "Joe" Fioretti, 48, of Homosassa, Fla., formerly of ISLAND HEIGHTS, died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2005, at his residence. He was an electrician for Coast to Coast Electric and a square dance caller. Mr. Fioretti was a member of the Knights of Columbus All Saints Council No. 6954 of Homosassa Springs, Fla., the Rotary Club of Homosassa Springs, and the American and Florida Square Dance Caller Association. He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Homosassa, Fla. Born in Newark on Sept. 30, 1957, he lived in Island Heights before moving to Homosassa 16 years ago.

Survivors are his wife of 29 years, Elizabeth G. Elley Fioretti; a son, Joseph C. Fioretti of Ocala, Fla.; three daughters, Jennifer Fioretti and Julie L. Fioretti both of Orlando, Fla. and Lisa E. Fioretti of Homosassa; his father, Frank R. Fioretti of Lady Lake, Fla.; a brother, Frank R. Fioretti Jr. of New Jersey; and two sisters, Mary Rose Brandis of Toms River and Susan Cowdrick of Island Heights.

A memorial gathering of family and friends for Joe will be pffered from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Island Heights firehouse, Island Heights.[2]
