JOEL S. BAER, cherished son of Howard and Ruth, loving brother of Deborah (Harry) Adler, dear nephew of Alan (Pauline) Baer and Dr. Lee (Elaine) Freund, dearest uncle of Gabrielle Shear. Services will be held at Zion Memorial Park, 5461 Northfield Rd., Monday, Nov. 14 at 10 a.m. Family will receive friends at the residence of Dr. and Mrs. Howard Shear, 4856 Edsal Dr., Lyndhurst, THROUGH TUESDAY EVENING. JOEL BAER, 32, passed away Nov. 12 at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center. Joel a former member of the Chi-Town Squares, was very involved in his work at Illinois State Medical Society and his many friends there honored him with a retirement party earlier this fall. He is survived by his partner, Michael Peugh, of Chicago; his parents, Ruth and Howard Baer, his two sisters, Michelle Shear and Debbie Adler, and niece "Gabby," all of Cleveland. A memorial service is being held at 1:30pm, Dec.4, at Shaare Tikvah Synagogue, 5800 N. Kimball in Chicago.^[2]
