I'm so sorry to learn about Mark Keil's death in 2014. He was my roommate from 1982 through 1984. Very nice guy! He was one of two DJs at Charlies during that time and did a great job. He knew his music and always pleased the crowd. He never did take square dance lessons, but he did clog and was good at it. He's in several pictures in my binders, in part because he was my roommate and in part because he was always present at Charlies. We were one big family![1]
Two dancers in the 1983 photo of Mile High Squares were non-dancers—Mark Keil and Jeff Dell. I organized that photo, but it was scheduled early on a Saturday morning, and not many were willing to get up for it. I imagine I recruited Mark to increase the number of people present.[2]
