Obituary

Paul SLANE
Age 52, of Seattle, passed away peacefully in his home on Aug. 17 of liver cancer with partner, Michael McGowan and best friend, Patrick Gallagher at his side. He is survived by his sister, Barb Baker of Bellevue, Rick Slane of Aberdeen, 4 nieces, and a nephew. After working for Boeing as a satellite parts procurer, he became active within the community. He volunteered with the Seattle Men's Chorus, the Seward Park Art Studio, the Chicken Soup Brigade, POS, and STEP. He was a member of Historic Seattle and recently was instrumental in getting the Cooper House dedicated as a Seattle Historic Landmark. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, August 29 at 11:30 a.m. at Historic Seattle (1117 Minor) with a Reception to follow at his sister's house in Bellevue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Historic Seattle or the Pride Foundation.[1]
