History: The idea of forming a Gay Club in Eugene came when Richard Kitterman attended "The March on Washington" in 1992. He learned to square dance with the Rosetown Ramblers in 1983. He was transferred to Eugene in 1986 where he danced with a straight group. After learning about the GCA caller school and Remake The Circle, the 10th annual convention in Seattle, he attended both. He then held a 1st nighter in July 1993.

A group from that night started having planning meetings. It was not long until they had a name and a place to dance . Classes started September 23, 1993 with 18 people. Richard was at the Microphone and there were no "angels". That first class started with 18 people and ended with 12.
