Remembrances

I am sad to report that Richard Bailie passed away.  Richard was a member of Capital City Squares, helped with ASDSC square dance demos and attended promotions committee meetings. I have no information on services at this time.
— Jan Warren, ASDSC Promotions Chairman

I write today with sad news of the loss of our dear dancer friend Richard Bailie.  Richard passed away at home Tuesday evening from complications related to cancer.  In the last week of rapid decline he was able to spend quality time with parents, children, grand children and close friends.  He cherished the support and LOVE he received from his square dance friends and always referred to us as family.  He was a beautiful soul and a talented man.  Richard will truly be missed.  The family is considering scattering ashes in Guerneville following a small, intimate memorial to be held sometime soon when they can all once again gather to celebrate a journey well traveled.

I have no details to share about a service.  Richard was able to spend quality time with his parents, children, grandchildren and dear friends in the days before passing.  He requested cremation.  His family plans a small, intimate memorial at a time they can all gather.  There is some consideration of spreading ashes in Guerneville.
