Obituary

Capital City Squares member, Sue Cipolla, passed away October 31, 2021, succumbing to an aggressive cancer discovered only a few months ago. Sue was an Air Force veteran, a national forest ranger, and a competitive ballroom dancer.  She loved the performing arts and frequented many plays, concerts, and stage dances.  She especially loved period dance and was very proud of her costumes.

Sue was an enthusiastic Capital City Squares member with a long history as a competitive Ballroom dancer (Lead).

Per Sue's request, no services or formal obituary are planned.

Remembrances

Sue was a Competitor. We competed against each other in Competition Ballroom and Latin dances. We both competed locally, state wide, and internationally. We pushed each other to try harder. Sometimes, she would win, and sometimes I would beat her. And off the ballroom floor, we were supportive of one another.

I will miss competing against her. Rest in peace, Sue.
