Obituary

A memorial service for Ernie M. Conti, a Northeast Portland resident, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Ross Hollywood Chapel.

Mr. Conti died Monday in his home of cancer. He was 39.

He was born April 24, 1950, in Alliance, Ohio. He served four years in the U.S. Air Force and had been a member of the Army National Guard for the past 14 years. He had lived in Portland since the early 1980s.

At the time of his death, Mr. Conti was a student at Portland Community College. He also had attended Portland State University and the University of Portland nursing program.

Survivors include his mother, Carol of Bloomington, Calif.; father Nicholas of Alliance; brothers, Ron of Alliance and Tony of Diamond Springs, Calif.; sisters, Bonnie Mitchell of Cool, Calif., and Becky Binion of Homeworth, Ohio; and friend, Lloyd T. Jones of Portland.

Disposition was by cremation.

The family suggests that remembrances be contributions to the Cascade AIDS Project.[1]
