What Squaredancing Means To Me
I call this stained glass piece, “Dance at Stump Town” named after the Stumptown Stomp which is held in spring and is one of the first dances of the year. It is held on the Russian River in the town of Guerneville (STUMPTOWN). It is such a wonderful time of the year. The temperature is just right and the place has so much natural beauty.

I truly think that this is one Special Dance because it brings us all out of the big cities to appreciate the Redwood Forest, Russian River, natural beauties and the small town charm that Guerneville has to offer. I think everyone has a good time whether it is camping or renting a cabin or house. It is all fun and everyone goes home with great memories of this wonderful event and beautiful place. I look forward to this event every year.

The dance is held by Capital City Squares. the Sacramento square dance club. and has been held in Guerneville for the last 8 years.

I really love square dancing and the wonderful people that you meet and it is such a plus to have a dance in such a beautiful area. Thank you Capital City Squares for hosting this event every year. And thank Dan Smith for the opportunity to create this Stained Glass piece in honor of the STUMPTOWN STOMP. [1]
