History:

Foggy City Squares was Skip Barrett's original gay square dance group in San Francisco.
They participated in Lesbian/Gay Freedom Day Parade & Celebration, June 28, 1981 in San Francisco.
They were represented at the 1982 Reno rodeo where the idea for the National Gay/Lesbian Square Dance Association was born.
Its dissolution lead to the formation of Foggy City Dancers and the Foggy City Performance Team as well as the short-lived Bay City Ramblers.

Skip Barrett left SF in 1983 and moved to Hawaii (temporarily). This was his last dance at the Trocadero. He sang 3 of his singing calls - "Gone to Gillies", "Cotton Eyed Joe", "Chicken in the Bread Pan". Barbary Coast Cloggers perform. Video by Steve Browning
