Remembrances

LARRY PERRIN was the very busy DCLS President of the Board during years 1992 to 1993. In those years, the club was well over 100 members strong—which meant Larry and the Board were organizing callers and dances for all-level club nights, new dancers, plus /advanced workshops and the DCLS Fly-in in Harpers Ferry.

Besides all that, those where also the years DCLS was organizing our first IAGSDC CONVENTION in 1994. Larry managed to not only keep the club rolling but also assisted the convention committee as well. Even after his term ended in 93, Larry jumped in to arrange the entertainment at our IAGSDC convention brunch.

Larry loved to dance and party. Since his birthday was in late October, he always celebrated it on Halloween. Larry’s drag name for all fly-ins and conventions was “TEQUILA MOCKINGBIRD”
