Recollections

Lloyd David Marks was born on May 22, 1952.

He attended Michigan State University from 1970-1972 where he was a member and the President of the Michigan State Promenaders.

Lloyd transferred to the University of Michigan to complete his Degree in Architecture. He and Karen Dziegeleski were the cofounders of “A-Squares.”

After college, Lloyd lived in New York City, (Manhattan). He worked as a/an: Architect/Space Planner at APAD Assistant Director at Gueli Construction Architectural Draftsman/Designer at The Switzer Group Director, NY offices at Pearson Education, Inc. Lloyd occasionally square danced with the Times Squares and would often attend the International Gay Square Dance Yearly Conventions where he, Dave Eppelheimer and Chuck Novak would catch up.

After retiring, Lloyd moved to Huntsville, AL, and later to Florida to be closer with his family. Lloyd passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2015. He had been living with HIV for over 20 years and passed because of related illnesses. Lloyd was a resident of Boynton Beach, Florida at the time of passing.
