Remembrances

I just learned that Louie Horvath, an original Wilde Bunch dancer from 1983 passed away here in Palm Springs area about 5 weeks ago. We had reconnected from time to time after we moved here, and he attended part of the 2017 convention here, although he no longer danced. Louis was the only WB member to attend the first IAGSDC convention in 1984, making us one of the 10 charter member clubs. Very few there would remember him now, other than David Torvestad. I knew he had been very ill recently and hadn't seen any Facebook posts from him, so looked him up and saw several of his friends posting R.I.P. notices.

I believe I ran into him maybe 15 years ago at the gay pride parade in Denver wandering around the booths; he recognized me, but it wasn't until he told me his name that I clicked. He gave me his business card; I remember I had it when we were first looking here for a condo in 2013, and I emailed him. We reconnected from time to time (as I noted above), but we ran in different circles apparently. He was a very busy guy!
